Bigfoot Database of Sightings from Across the USA
Below are sightings of the alleged Sasquatch from across the USA. Every year, hundreds of sightings take place here in the US, most of which occur in California. Almost every state has has sightings. Is this mast hysteria, or is an undiscovered ape actually prowling the woods of North America? Whether you embrace the existence of Bigfoot or not, sightings in North America date back hundreds of years. Native Americans all across the US have their own name for Bigfoot, yet all their stories talk about a bipedal, upright-walking hairy man. Is Bigfoot real or the mere ghost of fiction? Well, you decide.

My Mysterious Find Several Years Ago
Was it a hoax? Well, I highly doubt that a person would go walking barefoot on snow in the middle of winter. Such actions can lead to severe health issues such as hypothermia and frostbite. If it was a hoax, man it was a good one. Yet, I doubt it was a hoax because the average person in Bridgewater would never dream of Sasquatch living under their gaze.
The Possibility of Young Bigfoot(s): It is very interesting how most alleged Bigfoot footprints are huge. If it is a real animal, then there have to be small, young and juvenile Bigfoots as well. That means varied sizes of footprints, which means smaller footprints than usual. There are occasional findings of small footprints, and I strongly believe that this may have been a young Bigfoot prowling the woods, most likely at night.
Washington Valley Park’s Nature and surrounding areas: Washington Valley Park is approximately 715.5 acres. It consists of Pine and Hemlock forests, marshes, streams, impressive mini-water falls, and impressive rock outcroppings. This park is home to wild turkey, deer, rabbit, fox, occasional coyote, eagle, hawk, etc. While a Bigfoot would find it hard to live here, it could remain in seclusion for a few days at a time, perhaps when traveling to a preferred habitat. Washington Valley Park is within Somerset County, which contains the Great Swamp Basin, which is right across from the 7,600 acre Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. Many other parks, and green, open and forested spaces exist within Somerset County. If Bigfoot is the intelligent primate many have dubbed it to be, then it most certainly would take advantage of these areas to hide during the day, and move efficiently at night.

Dead Deer Kill Found at Washington Valley Park
Couldn’t the killer be a predator like a coyote or fox? This is a very interesting question, and one easily dismissed. It couldn’t have been a predator like a coyote or fox. Those animals are far too small to bring down a deer of this size. As for packs of coyotes, it is possible. But the deer would have been mostly all eaten if it were a pack. The carcass was about 3 days old.
So, is this proof of Sasquatch’s diet? Well, by the finding of the footprint yesterday, and the previous deer carcass found, this may very well be Sasquatch's food source. Deer are plentiful in North America, especially in the state of NJ. Many witnesses, even here in NJ, have reported seeing tall, bipedal hairy ape-like animals chase after deer. Deer would be a valuable source of food during the winter, and all year around.

Sighting in Washington State in 1984
"I was a sergeant of military police, stationed at ft.lewis, washington(back in 1984),we(myself and 2 other mp's)were looking into a reported prowler incident,in the wee hours of the morning(the bars had closed just prior to the call)..upon arrival we heard a most strange howling cry, coming from the adjacent wilderness area(nothing i'd ever heard in past tours/as i had been at ft.lewis back in 1977 as well)..we began a search of the area, each taking a quadrant...the captain and i,met at the edge of the nearby meadow, when we heard 5 distinct pistol shots(from the k9 unit's quadrant)we moved toward his location, when we encountered the k9 dog running towards us,dragging his leash(without his handler),we found him in semi-shock,back to a tree, still cycling his weapon(army k9 carried s&w .38 revolvers in those days),the location was at the edge of an old narrow gauge railroad spur,it was easy to see that something big had torn through the thick foliage, exited the area, sending the handler back to his vehicle, the capt.and i,took up pursuit....at times heavy foot steps could be heard, ahead of us ,but the heavy darkened woods prevented any visual contact...as time passed and false dawn was breaking.we stopped at the edge of a clearing, when we detected movement, along the egde(towards mt.rainier)i was armed with my issue(.45 and 12 gauge riot gun)the capt.also a (.45),when we heard another howling cry(sort of a deep growling roar, building into a high octave howling)it was weird and made goosebumps!..my weapon at the ready,we saw this creature enter the clearing(maybe 35 meters or so)it was easy 7-8 ft tall and massive, with no neck in evidence, covered with dark hair, heavy shoulders long arms, oddly shaped head, seemed ape-like,but was definately walking on 2 legs..i jacked a round into the shotgun chamber(either the booger, caught our scent or perhaps heard the clack)it stopped, turned it's whole body, and looked at us(it was light enough to shoot, but not enough to clearly see facial features)the critter made no aggressive actions, just stood there(i remember the head moving slightly side to side)i don't recall the time span, but it evidently lost interest and resumed it's direction, and disappeared into the far treeline..up to the contact.i thought we were hunting a bear..but this critter never went down onto all fours..and maintained it's shuffling gait, until out of sight..the capt.refused to authorize deadly force, unless it attacked.....i should have dropped that booger dead, controversy over...rather than having to endure the years of ridicule and career abuse,i had to withstand...i can not imagine, anyone so bored with thier life, that they'd make up such a story thus looking like a fool, just for some negative attention...but on line there seems to be plenty, telling booger stories that reek of bullpoop..i know what i saw and DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE BELIEVES ANY LONGER!!"

"On this day, I went walking through Washington Valley park alone. This 705+ acre region is made up of both reservoirs and wooded area. Located in Somerset County NJ, it is home to various creatures such as turkeys, snakes, rabbits, deer, hawks, falcons, and even Bald eagles. When I was walking, I was dazzled by the immense beauty of this area. Even in the winter, it seemed alive and thriving with vibrant colors and sounds.
While I was walking, I noticed something rather odd. A foot print, but not of a dog. It was not like anything I have ever seen. It looked human, but I do not think it was. Why may you ask? Well, would you go walking through a park, bare-footed, in the middle of winter, when its cold, and in an area where you could easily cut yourself? I do not think so. That's what truly shocked me. I took a picture. It is strange. Above is the photo. Notice how there are five toes. I promise this is no hoax of mine. Below I highlighted the print. Sorry if the image is not great."

"I was outside shoveling snow when I noticed some rather LARGE foot prints. I swear my heart started pounding at that instant. I had never seen such large "feet". I cannot be certain it was a mysterious creature, but bears RARELY pass our area, and they walk on all fours. There were only pairs of two foot prints, and I believe that they faded quickly, with about 4 or 6 of them in total. It appeared to me that they were headed to my neighbor's backyard. I'll tell you all now, I have always been a fan of cryptids. Always will be. Once again, I don't know if they were from a bigfoot, but I will tell you one thing, they were abnormally large. I remember wanting to tell my science teacher, but I was afraid he would think I was not 100% in the head, so I never did."
